What amp do I need?

I plan on installing 8 6.5" 4ohm 100 watt rms speakers but I'm not sure what size amp to get. Do I need an 8 channel, 2 4 channels or can I get by with just 1 4 channel amp daisy chaining the speakers 2 per channel?

A quality 4ch will handle it.

It depends on what speakers you are using. Different speakers and different size speakers require different crossover points and volume. If they are the same speakers going to the same outputs, then that will work.

Then you can run 2 speakers per channel with no problem.
