need amp help

[91 Camaro]

Ok I planning to install 2 Type R's DVC and a new Amp. I don't know if I should go with a Alpine amp or a Kenwood amp. Another problem is that I currently have a Kenwood amp hooked up to 2 Type S 12" DVC(at 1ohm stable), but the thing is I get more bass inside the car when I have the subs connected an old 2 Channel amp (which has less RMS and is at 4ohm). I don't get it I need help.

depending on the vc of the subs get a amp that'll do 1200w+ at either 2 or 1ohm. r's can handle more power, i had mine ran off a kicker 1200.1 and the birth sheet said 1495wrms @ 1ohm.
