also right now i have the sub pointed sidways right to left do you think it would sound better if i had it pointing up. If i had it up i could do. at least 50 x 20 x 20 which would give me 9.2 before displacement to work with. Also im trying to get the most sq i can out of it while still being deafening loud(the reason i had it sealed but its not liking its current box

its car dependent, but most people say for suv's that pointing it up is louder, not sure bout SQ tho,

if you fire it up, could you make it a little taller:

that should give you an indication of about how much net volume you have to work with.

super low tuning + lots of port area (needed for an 18") = lots of port displacement

i cant really make it any taller b/c it will hit the window but migh be able to squeeze another inch out of the depth

if you add the inch to the depth and fire the sub and port up, i get this:

note: i decreased the port width from 6" to 5"

maybe someone with more experience with 18" woofers can comment on whether or not that's enough port area and/or if that's a big enough box. (seems pretty big to me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif)

id face sub and port both back. how much port area are you asking about?

back isnt really an option cause it needs to be set up like this

and it would be right up against the corner with no room for a port

make a square external port on the side of the box facing back then. use the box its in now. you dont need that much port for the sub though
