Need Aero Port Help Real Quick!

I need to find out how much I need to cut my 4" Aero ports down to get around a 32hz tune for my box.

I have two 4" Precision Aero Ports. They are 18" long, but the two flared ends only count as half their length so that makes them 17" long.

My Box is 22W 22D 16.5H.

How much do I need to cut off from the ports to get around a 32hz tune?

12.25" total length for 32hz, but id even go a bit longer i didnt make up for sub space or anything else i just through it in bbp6 cause it was open...lol....

So I need to cut 4.75" off each port?

The PSP calculator is telling me this:

Straight Length Port required 15.25

Flare Length Port required 16.25

So by their calculator I only need to cut off 0.75"?

i dunno i got 4.2cubes using your givin dimensions, and 12.27 for 2x 4" flared round ports.... id have probably seen what tuning was, with what you had before cutting anyways...

did you factor in that those are outside dimensions using 3/4 MDF. Because I get 3.64 internal volume. My sub takes up 0.11 displacement.

ok putting in the .11 for sub displacment, im gettin 3.64 total, 3.04 after subs and port and the ports would be 18.88 each.......

If you were to leave them uncut tuning would be a bit over 31. Between 31-32. Like 31.8

EDIT : This is considering your using 3/4" MDF and sub displacement of 0.11ft^3 as you stated giving you 3.53ft^3 of air space after displacements.

shit....I'm just not going to cut the ports. The sub is a single 15" FiQ and it says to tune them from 28-33hz so I think I'll be fine not cutting the ports at all.

What do you guys think?
