Need Advice On what the next upgrade will be!

Okay! I'm totally stuck, Current config, SAZ-1500D @1ohm, 2 SA 12s with SPL coils, and 2 batteries in the trunk. What to do next,

First choice, new amp, 2500D or 3500D

Second choice, swap the 2 SPL SAs for 2 D1 Z V.3 12's and run the pair at .5ohm

Third Choice, a single Z V.3 18" in the trunk, powered by my current saz1500, @ 1 or .5ohm

What do you think would be the best choice? I'm looking to get not only louder but cleaner lows

Here is what my trunk looks like, this is a 4ft cubed box in right now. I should be able to fit a 6^3, or an 8^3 if its made to fit the trunk

Well get some exact dimensions and try and seem if you can get a box design...

No actually, they never hit X-max, thats the pair of SPL coiled 12's they can take a 1500D each so i'm no where near full power

Lol I actually melted the PVC jacket on one of my fuses today.... 1ohm sounds good, besides, that 1500d should do ~1800 at 1ohm with 3 batts

I'm confident SPL Coil only means it's lighter weight (possibly shorter WW) and tighter in the gap. SPL application would indicate high power for 3 second bursts... I wouldn't count on "spl coils" to indicate anything about long term thermal power handling, only performance at that application. That being said the audio of that vid sounds like the subs are bottoming out.

Those Zenon amps really shine at .5 ohm. I'd lean towards .5 personally though keep in mind it is much more strenuous on your electrical and amp.

iirc, 1 18 has more cone area than 2 12s, but 2 12s can control the power better.

my choice, run 1 18v3 nightshade off that saz on .5 give it a nice tune, lots of port area, and beef up that electrical. at .5 expect no more than 60% efficiency youll get 2k+ so id have at least 160 ah in batts, do big 3, and hopefully an all of 120ah+

im running 2.5k at 1ohm, and never drop below 13.3 and have 124 in batts, big 3, 100ah alty.
