Need A Upgrade

Was also wondering if my woofers are rated @ 500rms what's the benefits of having a 2000w amp. Just trying to understand. I'm never going with bigger woofers (because I cant) I'm maxed out with the 8's.

Headroom, better to have more power, as opposed to trying to make an amp produce outside of its parameters. Also, with box rise and whatnot, you want 'see' the 2000 watts anyway, that is why some of the dudes on here run their systems on .5 ohms.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I just have to figure out how to fit a bigger amp under my seat. U guys haven't led me wrong yet
