Need a little help here...

I wasn't sure if I should've posted this question in the "subwoofer" or "amplifier" section, so instead I posted it here. Sorry if i'm in the wrong place. I recently purchased a JBL GTO 1201.1 amp for my (2) Kicker CVR 12's, 4ohm DVC. I'm going to run 4ohms off that amp to get 787wrms. From learning how to wire subs in certain ohms, I've always thought you use one channel on a monoblock amp. I'm currenly using 1 channel on the amp. I got the subs wired in series/parallel. but a few hours ago i was looking around the manual and instructions, and noticed both channels being used on 2 DVC 2ohm subs. Am I suppose to use both channels? Or can I just use one? If anyone can help me, I'd gladly appreciate it. I don't want to mess anything up, considering I'm still a newbie to this.

On monoblocks, if they have 2 sets of speaker inputs, they are already combined internally.

This is done for convienience, so you don't have to twist and cram 2 wires into the inputs...assuming you do not have the subs series or paralleled inside the box.
