I have an 1993 F-150 two door extended cab. The problem is that I have a JL-300/4 amp that I need to put in the truck, but dont have enough clearance to put it under the back seat.I have checked behind the backseat also,no room.Try'ed to fit it under the passenger seat, no room there either. I dont want to mount it in the floor directly behind the seats because it will be exposed to whoever looks in the cab.I don't know if ford makes a ''backseat-adapter'' for this year vehical so i can raise the seat for clearance. Does anyone have any ideas for my truck ? Can anyone post pics showing a solution for this ? thanks.

Talk to a local shop or search online, there's always a way to raise that back seat up. Also - I may have not read correctly, but did you check under your driver's seat? Only other option I really know to tell you is to look around. I personally have no experience with this truck. I had a single cab 99 F-150 but my amp fit perfectly under my seat.

I'm going to have to check with ford to see if they sell a lift kit for this year truck. Any body else have any ideas.

I know that there are kits for rear seat lifts on some Ford trucks. I do not know if they will fit your truck or not. The only ones I have seen are for f250s and f350s. I wouldn't think they would be much different.

Twistedtrik- I checked with ford and they do-not have a aftermkt kit. I also called Qualitex seating and they don't have any kits either. Has anyone ever bought one of these kits an installed it. If so- where did you buy it at ? Thanks

How much room are you lacking? If you have enough thread left on the bolts, it's possible to add a few washers to make up the difference in height needed. I'm not familiar with your model vehicle, but you could also do some looking at machine shops that could fabricate longer bolts. I see you are in NC, so am I, in WS. So if you need assistance, let me know. There are companies that specialize in fasteners, and you could probably get what you need from them.

Thanks Luzer- I checked under the seat and will get some fender washers to put on the bolts. I only need about 1/2 inch and should be good to go.
