IMO, for daily driver, make it a wall behind the rear seats. Not much of a daily driver when you turn your Explorer into a 2 seater. Can probably cut down your enclosure size a bit too.
Since your asking advise, I would go with as much room as you can get behind the rear seats and put all the amps and stuff on the back of the box. I think some explorers have larger rear storage then others though and am not sure which one you got. Just my 2 cents. no doubt if you do what your planning it will be loud, just seems like your sending mixed emotions about daily driving and comps.
How much space can you get behinde the seats? I know a system I did in a buddies explorer, we didnt go above the seats and were at like 12 cubes. Depending on what model you got, I can see you get 24cubes +
