BTW, you should be able to get a decent 1Farad cap dirt cheap on ebay. Around $30 or so if you search. You don't need one of those fancy ones with all the lights and meters. A cap is only going to store what your electrical system can put out. Most people dont consider them as anything more than a "bandaid". If your having serious problems dimming, your best bet is going to be upgrading your electrical system. Big 3 wiring, then HO alternator. HO alt's can be had for under $200 on ebay. Wire is cheap.

You're dimming is telling you that the car's electrical is not good or big enough to support your system,so what the hell do you think a capacitor is going to do for you...please....tell me oh wise audiobahnuser18.......

It will do nothing but make even more electrical problems for you.

A cap stores energy for a heavy bass note right,well once that energy has been used that cap needs to stor up energy again but how the hell is your cap supposed to do that when our elec can't even handle your stereo system?!

It won't becuase as you should know that the energy the cap stores is from your cars electrical charging system and seeing as that can't keep up with the system then the cap will just rob your cars electric even more and casue even more dimming and possibly burning your alt and cars electric to crap.

Big 3 in 1/ guage....if that don't work then you need a bigger alt.

I'm going to guess that you have bass boost up and gains up.I have a stock 105amp alt,no big 3 and bo extra batts just the stock under the hood and I get no dimming and I am running more power then you so either your cars elec needs an upgrade or you ****ed up with the gains......
