just wondering but where does it say anything about a 30 band eq?

because i couldnt find it.

60Hz, 80Hz, 100Hz, 120Hz and 7.5kHz, 10.0kHz, 12.5kHz, 15.0kHz

are the only things i could find.

the 9861 does not have all that. its a dvd player. what you speak of is, the 9861 can control the h701 in which there is a 31 band graphic eq for the front, rear each and 10 band graphic for sub.

I have this and I got to say that's it's awesome. I never owned an Alpine, and now I know why a lot of peolple like them. I was a Pioneer fan till I got this. Menu's are easy to get to and change.

i like my 9833s features, but hate how it works, menu wise and you have to push the knob after making changes to confirm them
