Need a drill!

I would recommend a Dewalt. Depending on what you are using it for I would say you could most likely get by with a 9.6v if you can find one and should be around that price. (the 9.6v has more torque than the 12v or at least used to and is lighter)

I can honestly say I have never seen a panasonic drill.

I've got one in my garage! I'd never heard of them before either, but it was recommended by a friend that works at a cabinet making shop. That's the only brand they'll use there. So I bought a 12v one on Amazon and it's been great for the last year or so that I've had it.
