i need a cheap home reciever for 2 shelf speakers and a small sub that i can run for surround sound in my room with my tv and ps2. Any reccomendations on something to look for on ebay.

Do you really need a receiver, or will an integrated amp work for you?

I'd look for NAD, Rotel, Marantz, Adcom...no need in buying a receiver if you don't have plans to listen to FM radio.

Doesn't sound like you need a receiver, but you might find something cheap.
