Max dimensions -

40" Wide, 18" Tall, 12" Deep

Layout -

From the little I played around, the box would be best tuned to 41hz due to the 47.75hz Fs. I would like to tune in the low 30's if possible.

Problem is that I have the 8's and really want them to work, LOL.

Love using small speakers and getting away with it!

Especially considering the Qts.

Use as little stuffing as possible in the line to keep it somewhat efficient but at the same time tame the impedance.

This requires that you have actual line length to support the lowest frequency you wish to reproduce.

It can be somewhat shorter if you taper the line and reduce the terminus to about 80% of the Sd.

It is true that a TL will sound the best with a lower Q driver but as long as line area is not too large, it will be far more forgiving and will extend a great deal deeper in frequency than trying to stuff a driver with a Qts of .514 into a vented enclosure tuned somewhere in the 40's as he was contemplating.

Line area is most strongly correlated with the Vas of the driver but given proper consideration it will also keep high Q drivers in good behavior when the line is properly stuffed.
