45"s in a wall

Going to do some 45's in my wall to help with the flow of things. Never used the Birch ply before, was wondering how difficult it would be to cut 45's with it, or should I just stick to mdf

set a table saw at 45 and cut both ends.

birch cuts good if you have a decent saw just make sure they're @least 2 1/4" long point to long point and no longer than 3"

Never used birch before wanted to see what all the hype is about.

Cuts pretty well, but keep some 80 grit on hand for the splinters. That's the only plus to MDF, no splinters...

Burch is quite a bit lighter and stronger is it not?

There's really no reason not to use MDF for simple 45s. There's really not a lot of surface area to flex in them, so I can't really see using birch for strength. Seems unnecessary if you're specifically buying wood for this use.

Bought a sheet of 4'X8' Birch 9ply today, $45.00:crap: Seems to be nice shit though. I spent $100 at Lowes today, kid in candy store ftl:crap:

If you use a finer tooth saw blade you will not have these problems

I used 1" ply and just a normal circular saw ... and 4" wide
