JL audio is great, but Hifonics is far from junk. I own two Hifonics amps, a Nemesis and a Titan and neither have gone wrong.

Not sure if you want to go to 900 RMS @ 2, but this one will do you good.

It will sound great with 500w. You just won't be pushing it to its limits.
