take two Power Acoustik A3000db's and put one on each sub. They have 1800 watts RMS at 2 ohm.

Or a Visonik V4000XD. I can get those things for 800 brand new.

Oh i found one more. An alphasonik PMA800HCA which claims 2900 RMS and i can get those for about $500 apiece which is a little more than you budget.

My car will be able to handle 4KW once I get my alternator rebuilt, and the 3 installed. Plus I have three caps, I know they put a draw on the system, I notice an improvement when they are installed so I will use them.

Good amp in MY opinion would be a orion XTR 2400. Have heard good things about them at 1 ohm loads.

If I got two amps I will wire the subs to 2 ohm loads, and if I go one amp then I will need a 1ohm load. I know that, but what can the Eclipses handle?

I can vouch for the D2 doing over 2000rms, not the cleanest power, but it is very efficient, and a small footprint (without the endcaps)
