need .05 ohm amp suggestion

I had a referance 500 and a rubicon 405.The 405 didn't play below .5 on the sub channel and the referance didn't like anything lower then .25 and that was for a very short burp.

.5 on any amp daily is hard.I wouldn't recommend it to anyone for daily.Most amps that can take it will thermal if you really beat on it hard constantly.

both overpriced compared to others.the lanzar IS rated 1/2 stable

you pay for what you get and these amps arent junk but cheap amps will not last as long at .5 daily i have ran ab amps at .5 daily for 2 years now without one failure

I have amps that run at 1/2 ohm daily. did it for quite a while, no problems whatsoever.

I've been running a pair of Powerbass asa 1000.1D at .5 ohm daily for quite awhile now. 1/4 ohm at comps.

Edit, 60 amp alternator, 1 run of 0 gauge and 2 Kinetik 1800s

your better off with a 2ohm amp if you dont how the power to surply it if you dont know whats going on i wouldnt run .5ohm amps daily

When you say power to supply it, it leaves myself (and I'm sure others) curious just what is required.

a) Enough alternator to keep everything at 14.4 or nearly that.

b) Enough battery backup to prevent voltage drop down to 11.5 or so

c) Enough alternator to keep the batteries charged well enough

d) b) and c) together

For the AB, Sundown, etc 3kw amp, what is "good enough" to drop down to 1/2 or even 1/4 from everyone's experiences.

you need enuff batterys to surrport it because at .5ohm it will pull alot more current and cheap amps thend to pull alot more amps because they become power hungry because they uneffient.

Are you sure the Lanzar is stable to 1/2 ohm? I heard before my Planet Audio TT2250D had the exact same board, and that was only stable to 1 ohm I think.
