Name Some Old School Equipment Game!

I search PPI every day. I am considering buying the A1200.2 and waiting for another one to auction so I can run a pair on some XXX's.

How about the Anniversary collector edition 2000 watt amp PPI came out with in like 97. There was one on Ebay about a year ago for 1900.00 bucks, they retailed at 10,000.00 dollars new. If you can find specs on that amp it is something to orgasm over. 2000 watts rms, A/B design, 7hz-100khz etc...

sorry I'm rambling //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/drool.gif.b5e863e893038027711d4402f340dad0.gif

Dynaudio speakers! Very high end and still around today! How about McIntosh amps and HU's? That stuff was always my favorite but way too expensive!

Oldschool? This puppy right here is old school for sure! ---> http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5746104782&ssPageName=STRK:MEAFB:IT

And its flawless. Perfect shape. A brand new 10 year old radio. Never opened, no signs of wear, metals still shiny, and plays perfect. Even the rotary volume knob is still tight. This along with my oldschool ppi amp will make some nice sound together! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

MATRIX Audio....which some of u may now know as MTX Audio, reason for the change in the name............. no one could pronounce it right

I may have missed it, but nobody mentioned the "old" Audiomobile amps/eqs/speakers.

Good calls on the early stuff, I love my old H/K 260 and the old, old Hifonics. I've even got some of those small Proton "cheater" amps somewhere in the shop.

JP

PS - I forgot to mention the early (made in Japan) Alpine amps, like in the Speakerworks Grand National. McCauley subs were popular for awhile in the eighties. G&S Designs, M&M, Blade amps (way before the Ghey Grenade series).

Concord,Audiomobile(still have a amp by them) ESX, Rodek, Carver, HarmonKardon. Rockford Power1000 before Mosfets(they were fun to repair weekly), MTX terminator and blue thunder amps(really PPI's) Blade SE's, Monolithic, Proton, M&M Godfathers, Earthquake of SanFransico no one made a better 6ft amp:) . Rockford series 1's.Still have all my old price guides and most mags from 88on. Man what we used to call hi-fi, no class d's, no cd players, audio control made the only 30band eq, 1000 watts were huge systems, Whats fiberglass?.Mark Fukuda loudest truck for 5 years with 148 db and like 16 rockford 15's, IASCA 0-50 power class home of the 225hcca and Promos 225. Forgot his name but the S-10 blazer with a PPI 250am and like 100 speakers includding 8 JL 10 in a ISOTUB

Richard Clark and $50,000 doller diamond compression drivers!!!!!!

Iasca and Usac were the only compotions, Spring break and Georgia Invatationals

Did you see that AX606.2 on ebay now, already at $610 bucks. Thats one sexy amp that could run one kick azz system.

The Power 1000 was rated at 4x125 @ 4ohms not 4x500.......

I am a true old schooler on these forums. Have been in the scene since 1989 and still run the RF vintage old school gear.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif The gear from that era was VERY underrated in power output! Could easily put out double the 'stated' specs!

According to the RF vintage old school literature:

RF Power 1000

250 watts/channel x 4 into 2 Ohms from 20Hz to 20KHz with less than .1% THD.

150 watts/channel x 4 into 4 Ohms with less than .05% THD

500 watts/channel bridged
