My type R's Smell tangy?

The Type-R has different glues than DC and RE both on the voice coil and on the triple joints. Chinese coils smell WAY different than American when hot and so do the associated glue joint adhesives.

In any event... subs get warm when used, normal.

So i was bumpin my subs today and they smelt more then usual you can still only smell it when i smell around the port area its alot warmer today then it has been in the Past few weeks

When you say warm does that include when dust caps get warm? I was told (well this is what i got out of it) that if your dust cap is warm thats a bad sign. My BL 18 (brand ****ing new only used for about an hour) got warm on a stupid BXI 2010d and i think i started to smell kinda.. NOt sure if that was Excess glue or that P.O.S Brutus is clipping these to hell

If you only smell it at the port, that isnt too bad..I wanged a sub so hard one time It smelled in the cabin of my car and that small stayed in my car for about 2 days...that was clipping the hell out of a sub when I still thought that gain was a volume knob
