He's right. You'll want louder. My original idea was to replace my factory 8" sub with an RE8 in a customer enclosure in the stock location and use an amp I had laying around to power it. I eventually decided to just go with 2 budget 12s in a small sealed box. That lasted me a year. I now have 2 12L7s on the way and a 2000w amp. Car audio is a disease.

i know. i've had this setup for almost a year now, and ever since i got my volkswagen a couple months back, i've been just planning how i'm going to do the system in that.

so far i've come up with...

doing the interior right

using comps instead of just four random coaxials not amped

using the same deh 770 pioneer premier hu

as far as the subs go...

i'm planning on getting 2 or 4(if i can fit 4) AA Assassin 8'' in a sealed fiberglass enclosure with a falsebottom for the amps

i don't think loudness is really an issue for me right now, right now the issue is that my type R out performs my interior.

and that's not to say that later on I won't want louder, i know I will, but i'd like to start getting the sq aspect of it down BEFORE i start making it louder.
