My Setup

Anybody else have and different setups? I'm makin a custom box for my 2 12" He2's. It's ported and the ports are goin straight through where my 6x9's were. Im takin my 6x9's out. I can't really hear them when i have it turned up so i said why bother. Ive got a set of tweeters in between my front and back doors. Those act to fill in the rear. Ill probly upgrade my components or just get another set of the ones i have to put in my back doors. Im pushin my two He2s with a Soundstream Picasso 880.2... IM just sendin 440 to each one. Its loud enough for me. Just thought id share and maybe someone tell there different style of setup. Ill try to get pics of it when im done with it all

why port it. if real bass is what you are looking for then you need a sealed enclosure. with ported enclosures they tend to loose cone control and eventaly distort. also you have a realy big amp for a ported box. they are for lower powered systems, like 100w peak . its like the boxes of home audio they are low powered systems so with the port desiged right will put out some good bass with little power. i would stick with sealed.

but that is my opion, i could be wrong.
