My planned system, got some questions :D

usually in my area, there are people that are selling shiatty subs and amps on craigs list at high end prices.sad part is,there are noobs that will pay these prices.poor souls //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

System Expectations:

*Want the lows, especially in the 30-50hz region to really punch, more emphasis on the 35-45hz hip hop bass, I want the lows to hit nicely, and with a good 115-130dB loudness.

Now based on this information I have a couple questions.

1. With my alternator listed above, would my car be able to handle pulling 500/900 watts RMS from the respective amps listed.

2. I don't want my speakers to play bass. I want the subs to play bass, I want the speakers to play everything else, do I need to have a 5 channel amp to achieve this, since my HU doesn't have a crossover, or does the subs amp handle this?

3. For the budget price of no more than $300 what other combination of subs, and amps could I look into?4. Will the subs listed be able to handle 450watts RMS if I choose the bigger 900 watt RMS amp?

5. Will the subs be noticeably louder with the KAC-9105 at the same volume vs the KAC-8105, or is it just better efficiency at that point?

6. Is the calculation 500 watts / 12 volts = 41 amps correct, will 500 watts RMS pull 41 amps, and will 900 watts RMS pull 75 amps from the alternator?

7. What else should I know, anything, as I want to be as educated on the subject as possible, so I don't have to worry about something going wrong once I do purchase the system.
answer in bold. they tell you what to look for and you keep pickin out junk, listen to what they have to say and you will be satisfied

whats the point in asking for advise if you arnt going to take it?
Just your typical audio noob that thinks he knows more than we do. I guess we should stop offering advice if he don't listen the first time...

Then again its his build i reckon let the noob do what noob gonna do lol.

He will learn that's how a lot of us started brotha.

Sorry to say bud but the **** you picked out. Ain't gonna give you the bass your looking for. And what you where picking out ain't nothing but junk. If you would listen to what we have to say, for what you asked for is our help. Then maybe we could help you get a ballin' setup. Keep refusing from our help, and I will just walk away. Trying to hook you up with a deal from SKAR but your not willing to cooperate thats your choice. Trying to help you save money. And get a wangin' system. Go ahead buy the **** you want. Learn like all the noobs and keep wasting money.

The only 2 recommendations I got was those 2 used RE Subs and Skar subs. Those RE subs were in my budget but they were used, so I'm iffy. I'd rather have new equipment. The other recommendation was Skar subs, and those are considerablly out of my budget. $140 per sub x 2 = $280 leaving me $20 for an amp. So thats out of my budget as well. You don't have to demean somebody that knows less than you. I'm pretty sure when you started out, you thought that some good stuff was really bad stuff. Help me out here, instead of just making comments that bolster your ego and diminish mine.

go to the classified section here and look for some dc, sundown, ssa, dd, skar, obsidian and many more. u might want to save a little more cash instead of wasting ur money on ****** equipment.

with the budget u have used is the best option.. also because something is used does not mean it wont work 100%.. everything i have except the hu in my car is used.. i honestly would rather run used and save the money than buy new.. i would say 80-90% of us on here use used eq or have bought used eq to run instead of new and was pleased with it... even with my comp build i plan on doing 50-70% of it will be used

you asked for advise on eq to give u low bass and such we gave it to u and from here thats on you... atleast take a few mins and listen to us that have been doing this for a long time

(1) SKAR Audio VVX-12 mention my name and you can get it for ($140)

Hifonics GLX1000.1D ($230)

if you can save or put out $70 you can get that all for $370

FREE shipping on all. Just make sure you save up for power wire, fuse. build your own box its cheaper, and it isn't that hard. I have dimensions for that sub.

3/4 mdf $32.99 cut to the way you want it if you bring the specs with you to lowes.

Knu Koncepts 2 gauge wiring kit with fuse $26.99

You can go with one of these subs and be 10x louder than the junk you were posting.

Hopefully you can work in with this budget.

You have an awful low budge but spending an extra +$140 wont hurt.

other recommendations; Just save up till you can get a good setup, no need to hurry and waste your money on something that won't last. You know what im sayin?

Could you list a comprehensive list of some good brand names for subs and amps. If possible, have a catagory for good sub brand and a seperate catagory for good amp brands. I want to look around now since I see thats there are a lot of options around.
