When i get the stuff in the mail, ill take some pics and ect...

and...hmm what are the chances just my HU would get stolen, it sticks out with all the motorized sh!t on it.....but i live in a small town in Wisconsin-so im not too worried..but if i went to a bigger town sometime...hmm yeah..

I've had my entire system stolen before, and they didnt even bother to take my HU. Mainly cuz i had my detachable face off, and the HU is basically worhtless without it. As long as you take the face off everytime you leave the car and keep the doors locked, I wouldnt worry about it that much.

And back to the HU....its really really easy if you have confidence like B&R said. Your HU will come with a diagram, telling what every wire does (12V contsant, 12V accessory, all the speaker wires, etc etc). The wiring harness you buy for your car will come with the same type of diagram. You just match them all up and connect them. Very simple process. And if you have any problems, you can alaways come on here and ask and we'll be glad to help.

so pretty much u connect the wires from your HU to the Harness...and that all?
Basically. Your HU will probably have a female antenna plug, and you take the male end from your car and plug it in, and thats it.

For the wire connections, do not use solely electrical tape. Use solder or butt connectors for the bulk of the connection, and you can put tape around it afterwards to cover up any bare wire.

how do ya take the stock CD player out?
What year Grand Am GT is it?

My buddy has a 2002, and the console that holds the stock player pops off using a simple screwdriver. Then there are 2 harnesses right above the CD player (I forgot what they control), you take those off, unscrew the stock player, take the harness off, and pull it out. If your dash doesnt pop off, you can go to http://www.installdr.com to see if they have instructions for your car, and if they dont you can always get a Chilton manual. They'll tell you everything you could ever possibly want to know about your car and then some.

Good luck
