My New Midbass Idea!

Well, whats wrong with having the midbass in the center, when I had that single 8, it seemed very nice....What if I made it so one speaker is facing the driver and the other is facing the passenger....or I could put them in my back doors....

there is nothing wrong with doing any of that really as long as you have ways to adjust it. simply put from what i gather with what you have now you adjust the level of the 8 by the gain on that amp correct? if you aim the 2 midbasses apart from center they will be out of phase altogether or be out of phase to one side of the car. as for performance it would be VERY dependant on the console and listening position to how bad they would cancel eachother out. thats basically why i said go with what you have now otherwise get midbasses that fit the doors. i would basically add a processor that let me have more control over the whole thing then you can probably get out of it what you are looking for

To put it short and simple...

Your gonna have only one speaker facing YOU...thats gonna sound like ***. All your midbass is gonna sound right biased with no left side mid bass, WHY would you even phathom that idea?
if done right you shouldnt be able to tell where the midbass is anyway

...So I should actually keep a single 8 inch?.....I would put XXX in my doors but they're like 3 1/2 inches deep...and spacers would probably make the rubber surround hit the grill...If I dont go with the XXX mids, I'll keep my SS RLi 8 and make a new enclosure for it where my old 8 was (that enclosure is not deep enough for it)

wait are you calling me a moron for my 8" midbass?...thats not facing me thats facing no one, the dome light....if Had the XXX mids in one would be facing each person....What one speaker is facing me?

coolio got any details of your system? im in north east indiana about 30 miles from mich if you want to go over anything let me know.

well im getting all new shit actually, Im getting boston pros, with a Visionik amp 300x 2....not sure about mid bass as of yet...and a 18" ava (with MMats Dh200)

so final words....wtf should I do with my Mid bass....Keep a single midbass...cross it from 80 to 150....or get XXX mids make a custom enclosure in the middle, each pointing to passenger and driver...this is my dilemma...am I going to have to make a poll?
