i would set it up to where the 8 was almost like a sub in itself but set itto a slightly higher freq. just need an eq and/or a gain readily avalible. the bostons wont need to much help to be honest, what kind of vehicle is it? i also know a couple sub woofer tricks that can help bring things upfront
