My install with pics

i used the thin wire to hook up in parrallel & the thick wire was the wire that goes to the amp. the thin was just to hook it to parallel ? is this bad or should i change to the same grade wire ?

Use the same wire throughout, and you want to make sure the wire is thick enough to handle the current being sent to the subs. Ideally in high power situations 8ga is used, but in your case anything close should do fine. I would stick to 10ga atleast......ideally......With thinner wire it will act as a choke off point for the current traveling through the wire. Almost as if you used that small of wire throughout......

ok, I' ll change that asap. Can you confirm if i've hooked the subs up correctly please and is there an easier way to do it compared to what i've done ?

thanx for the comment. The dimensions of the box are 32in long x 18.75in deep x 15in high.

Its 3.0 - 3.5 cu ft as far as I can remember, Kinda lost the volume number somewhere

I have got my new mids. Thanx Hessdaw. They are huge. here a few pics compared to my psg RSD mids which I will no longer be using.

I have also purchased a Hawker battery. Weighs 45kg and is very big. Deep cycle.

Also have my new Hifonics brutus BXI 2608 to replace my hifonics bxi 1606D.

The 1606 was rated ate 1600w rms @ 1 ohm and was said to be slightly over-rated so I was probably only seeing about 1400w rms out of it. The new 2608 is said to do rated power so Im now in the process of upgrading my electrical

(the big 3 ) and upgrading all my power cables for all the amps in my set up.

PICS BELOW

I have done a few more things again. I couldnt use those battery terminals as believe it or not, they were both to big so I had to buy marine terminals and with an accessory hook and they fit perfectly. Pics to follow.

I have now aquired a new amp AGAIN And I did not know whether to choose this or the powerbass xa3000d.. If I can find another, I might have to get it as this think looks dam sexy and can be strapped together but its what it can do which is whats important and it can do a lot from my research about it.

This amp is big, very long anyway...

The only way for me to get full effect out of it is to buy 2 dvc 2ohm subwoofers, (more money) to see the full power out of this mahine. However, we gave it a short test run earlier and this thing sounds much cleaner than my Hifonics did and seems to have more power. I will set the gains shortly.

I also noticed that I had no dimmng whatsoever and Im not surprised with the size of the battery in my boot. Apparently its equivalent to an

Oddyssey p2150.

So far so good but still more work to do.

Check the pics
