It will be interesting to see how all the different cells work out...Hmmm say whats on your mind.
Do you think that those Deflex pads do anything?Helps absorb standing waves, cleans up the midrange...basically the same thing as a Deflex pad in a door, except you can fit deeper foam in a cabinet like that.
This is why I am a newb lol.. I will take off the other side.I don't think it's a good idea to have foam on opposing sides of the cabinet, correct me if I am wrong Jim, you don't want to COMPLETELY kill everything that goes on inside the cabinet, though it could be different for sealed enclosures...
Usually you just do one side (example, the back and left panels) as to not over dampen it...
Deaden it all...I don't think it's a good idea to have foam on opposing sides of the cabinet, correct me if I am wrong Jim, you don't want to COMPLETELY kill everything that goes on inside the cabinet, though it could be different for sealed enclosures...

That's not correct. There is nothing wrong with foam on all sides. It may not be necessary but in some instances it is better. You want all the sound to come from the driver and/or port, not the side panels.I don't think it's a good idea to have foam on opposing sides of the cabinet, correct me if I am wrong Jim, you don't want to COMPLETELY kill everything that goes on inside the cabinet, though it could be different for sealed enclosures...

That was always my take on it.
