My HT Build :)

Well this is really my first HT build, so any tips or advice are welcome. Also I don't take as many photos as some as you people so thread probally won't be HUGE like some I see lol.

First off the equipment.

4 12" Sundown SD-1s, Dayton Tweets and Tang Band 6.5s. Ports and peel and stick vinyl (I'm lazy).

My christmas present to my self.. new table saw //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Works pretty well for my needs and is portable.

Put-Away

Starting on the first tower..

Glueing down the foam..

Went to put it together and forgot I left my stapler at my buddys house over the weekend so will have more pics tommorow.

Nothing yet, I am going to take my current bookshelfs and use the speakers from them to make a center as well during this build. If I have enough money left over I will begin building the rears. I still have to buy the amp for the subs (Crown XLS202D and my new reciever (AVR-247) and a new couch //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif.

Oh yeah, by the way, for your center channel you could substitute a single 2.5" dia. tube port at approximately 6.5" instead of the slot port. Or (2) 1 5/8" ports at approximately 5.5" each.

RollinDJ - then the ends couldn't recline lol... could do transducers though those things are bad ***.

i've never got a chance to hear a transducer before. what do they do, just make thing rumble.

I have installed some in a old suburban.. they worked pretty cool, out side of the car you couldn't hear much bass but when sat in the seat you felt the bass pretty good. not sure how they work exactly.

Not sure yet, got a buddy that can get a discount on it but haven't asked yet, if that doesn't work I will pick up a refurbed one for $330.
