For a 10 it was. I didn't really get to listen very long but what I did get to hear was crazy loud. I'd compare the spl to my old 15"type R with 600 watts.

this is kinda a stupid question but how did you glue or screw the last wood panel to the box? how are you suppose to take out the sub?

one of the good things about a properly designed bandpass box...it leaves off where your midbass suppose to pick up..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gifi would set the lowpass xover at 80hz ..cuz it sounds like u have it set too low

but that box looks really good....i'm impressed with your building skills...and i'm sure it wasnt that hard to build either

I had the lowpass set inbetween 60-70. I never got any tune time at all.

Weather stripping from home depot. 2" wood screws to pull it tight.

I'll let someone else answer that...this is my first 6th order..... but from what I could tell....It will play your tuning frequency like no other and rolls off alot above that. I only got to listen to it for a short amount of time.

advantage

A 6th order is more efficient and controls cone-motion over a wider range but typically has a sharper (18-24dB/octave) low- frequency roll-off. Because of the difference in low-frequency roll- off rates,

the disadvantage is a 6th order usually has to be larger in size to produce the same low-frequency extension as a 4th order design. so its a trade off if u want to be more efficient...the box need to be big

another disadvantage is like ported box, the sub unloads at frequencies lower than the passband

8th order is very hard to design cuz your tuning 3 ports and 3 different frequncies

gotcha. what do you charge for plans for a 6th order? and would you reccomend this for someone who doesnt have any mid bass drivers? only have componenets up front.

wat sub u plan on using....not all subs will work in that kind of box

and if u do 6th oder u need midbass...comps will help but u need a dedicated midbass

4th order u can get away with cuz the rolloff is not as steep(12db)
