It just sounds wrong, and I'm just asking to find out what could be causing this.

It just sounds like it's underpowered or wired up wrong, it's hard to describe but we've all heard it. It's like it just doesn't hit right. It's not terrible sounding, but from what I've read on this forum I don't think it's performing like it should. It's in a tiny box, I think 1 cuft, sealed. I don't know how big the amp is, but I think around 300w. Would this be why?

It's just that alot of people here love this sub, but my only experience with it hasn't been good. I was thinking about getting two of them before hearing his. Lol, and he won't admit that it sounds like a$$.

could be a air leak in the box......poorly made box.....wired to the wrong polarity....wrong freq from the low pass filter......gain not set right

ya thats my advice moe lester has a AWESOME THREAD for box building....speaking of it i will be building a 1.6 cf box tuned to 36 hz

just go to there and your golden for making a box ...it has plans that are really easy to read the diagrams so if i can do it you can too.

I had my suspisions, I just didn't know if it was that or if it was underpowered.

He isn't going to want to make a new box though because he fiberglassed some speaker pod things ontop of the box and it looks real nice.
