My First System

if thats true then i suppose that 260 watts rms can make windows shake and fins on vehicles crack.

edit... just put together the fact you were talking about hifonics and not pos pioneers my bad

its a hifonics right? take the rms rating at the ohm load you are going to run the sub at, subtract 100 watts, an that is the most power it will make.
so are you saying that at 325rms x 1 @ 4ohms

ill only really be putting out 225rms? are hifonics amp that overrated? or are you being sarcastic?...

looks like a solid first system
thanks, just waiting on the box and wiring kit and ill be set

i should be putting all this into my car by the end of this month

small update

got my knukonceptz wiring kit last week and my sealed box a few days ago thanks to BJfish.. some higher quality pics will be up within a day... i finally got a digital camera but i need to replace the batteries

anyway hopefully ill the system installed before new years

on a side note ive been researching alot more on hifonics amps and how there overrated... which doesnt bother me because i got my TXI7506 for less than $155 shipped with a 1yr warrenty, which i think is a nice price... but just the fact that its putting out less watts than the specs say, has made me that much more curious to know how much watts ill be getting at a 4ohm load... alot of the threads i pulled up from my search has the same questions and same people saying that its overrated over and over... which is most likely true because i know most of the people on this forum knows their stuff and im not questioning their answers... but i havent been able to find any actual proof of this besides one thread where someone got their amp tested and posted a pic of the results.. and it was a couple hundred watts underpowered

so im thinking about going to some audio shops after i get my system installed to see if i can find out just how overrated these amps are or if only cetain models/series are overrated... my question is does anyone know how much it usually costs to get them tested? and is it hard to find audio stores/shops that tests amps? i live in SoCal and i see an audio store on every other block so finding a store isnt a problem

update: (NOT 56k safe)

got the digital camera to work, so i took some time to take better quality pictures of my equipment..

iPod nanos = flash drive I believe, not a hard drive, so you're safe....
...I'm pretty sure.
You are correct sir. Nanos are basically just a usb jump drive with a screen. Nothing that can be damaged by magnets. A reg. iPod could have been completely wiped out though.

ive been getting alot of mixed answers on the iPod nanos.. some say its a HD some say its a FD..

but i believe that its a FD because my nano works perfectly fine... i tested it acouple of times after and i cant find any sign of damage.. luckly i lucked out

it is NOT a hard drive-based mp3 player. it has flash memory. When they first came out, I saw a technology podcast that showed how to take them apart, and it was def. flash memory inside.

u should have gotten the 13.5" instead
i dont see a 13w3v3 on their site... i would of denfinatly gotten a 13.5" if they had it

as much as i like JLs, i wouldnt spend the money for them unless its a real good deal like i got for the 12"
