Running bose speakers off of aftermarket equipment? Help me out!

The shop that is going to install my system told me that since stock bose speakers are 3 ohm, if i run them off of the built in head unit amp and disable the stock bose amp in the car, it will screw the head unit or the speakers up since the head unit is not made to run off of 3 ohms (the reason i need to do this, is i am amping my new components in the front, but i want to keep the rear bose speakers for rear fill). He was saying they might be able to still run the stock bose amp with all my aftermarket stuff, but they are not sure. Any ideas of a way to tell them to get this to work? I guess i could only run my components, but that would be kind of stupid since this is a large SUV.

personally i would just run the comps. i had bose in my cadillac hooked up to a pioneer and they sounded like crap. i ended up getting comps for the front and only ran them.you will be fine with only comps. unless you have people in the back seat i wouldnt even bother with rear speakers

sometimes i have people in the back seat. Maybe ill take your advice though, i listen to my system loud as all hell most of the time, and it could get annoying if the bose starts distoring.

take the bose speakers out, they are really no good.
