My First Ported Box

Did you happen to wood glue all the sides? what about caulking the crevices? seems like you just connected everything together with screws.

Dude, he already said he pre assembled and did all drilling at once. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

He is taking it back apart to add glues and sealant.

hmm didnt catch that response from him. sorry...

^its koo... now how did you guys assemble your boxes? what order?

here's my order, let me know if something doesn't seem right:

bottom and right

front

back

port parallel to the back

port

left

top

A side, a front/back and top/bottom. That's the way that I do it, then I'll usually put in the other front, then the port, then the side thatway I can paint the port, then i'll put the top on it. I don't know why you'd "pre-assemble" it without gluing, you are just weakening the wood by doing that. Let alone you've already sanded, so you'll have to sand it again. I pray to god that Jordantyler didn't tell you that's the way to do it.

You have roughly 50 liters total, which will probably work with that sub.
