I am doing my first install of a system consisting of a component system and 2 subs. I have a couple of questions i need answered before i begin my install:

1) my car have an alternator amp rating of 90 A i believe. Will the alternator be able to handle 1000RMS without doing the BIG 3? If this helps, one of my amp is rated at 60A while the other is 80A.

2) i have 2 amp kits lying around and i would rather use them than to buy a disto block and 0 gauge wire. Is it fine to run 2x 4 gauge power wire from the battery to the 2 amps and use the same ground point for both? iread somewhere that it is recommended to use the same ground so there are no ground loops or something like that.

3) One of my amp have a rating 80A and the amp kit i have includes a fuse of 80A. is this a prefect match of should i go with something higher?

4) is it fine to split the remote wire into 2 wires to turn on both my amp?

5) I have 2 subs that is rated from 50-850 watts rms. I will be powering both of them with about 350 rms to each. Is this fine? will it harm my sub if i underpower them?

6) I always wonder if a mono amp could power two subs. i have 2x DVC4 subs that i believe i could wire to 4 ohms and run them of a mono amp rated at 600@4ohms. this is true, rite?

sorry about my long post but this is the first time i have did an install and i just want some basic info before i proceed. Thanks for the replies

Yes if you're smart. Do the big 3 if you get a chance but you should be fine.

2) i have 2 amp kits lying around and i would rather use them than to buy a disto block and 0 gauge wire. Yes that is fine. 0 gauge wire really isn't necessary unless you're running a ton of power. Most people do it anyways as a precaution.

3) One of my amp have a rating 80A and the amp kit i have includes a fuse of 80A. is this a prefect match of should i go with something higher?

It should be fine for the power you're running.

4) is it fine to split the remote wire into 2 wires to turn on both my amp?

Yes.

5) I have 2 subs that is rated from 50-850 watts rms. I will be powering both of them with about 350 rms to each. Is this fine? will it harm my sub if i underpower them?

Underpowering a sub can never hurt it unless you crank your gain. Set your gain correctly and you'll be fine.

6) I always wonder if a mono amp could power two subs. i have 2x DVC4 subs that i believe i could wire to 4 ohms and run them of a mono amp rated at 600@4ohms. this is true, rite?

Yup.

I dont have the big three and Im running about 900 - 950 rms on a 100 amp alt, and I have a Kinetik HC 800 in the back. Its works fine, and its kinda pushing it, but I havent had no problems. Im about to order some 1/0 wire and run it and also do the big three with it. '

2) it is fine to run two 4 guage wires from the battery, but its sloppy. Just get some 0 gauge. It'll save you in the long run (that why Im buying 1/0 wire now, should of done it in the first place.)

3) The fuse size is fine, but its kinda pushing it though. I would go ahead and invest an some ANL fuses. Once again do it now dont have to worry about it.

4) Just loop the remote wire from one amp to the next

5) no underpowering your subs is cool, but eventually you'll get power hunger and invest and I new amplifer.

6) and yes!

Edit: D*mn I took to long I wanted to be first
