theres no space for an 8 in the door without major mods.
anyway

please read carefully i already explained why im going with that specific setup no need to ask and answer same questions twice.
you are going to have to do major mods to get your idea to work correctly and sound good, so why not just use the existing mounting location and build it out a little to fit an 8"?

agreed. an 8" in a door that has a good amount of deadning will sound great! Thats what I am doing next on my car.

Dude we are telling you what will work and you are telling us what you want to make work. if you dont want a sub then put a 7" or 8" in the doors. fab it up or get someone to help. then put a tweeter and 5 1/4" mids into kick panels and your done. Walla! you now have everything you need and want in your sound.

mounting depth on some of the shallow mount 8" are under 3"

i had 7" midbass in the doors of my '99 civic si and now i am getting ready to put 8's in the doors of my silverado. the civic required some fab work but i think i can just do a custom baffle on the silverado and make it fit under the factory grill.

last possibility is to deaden the hell out of the doors and get a really nice 6" component set like the rainbow Kicks and feed them lots of power and eq everything to taste. the rainbows will go low and have a nice kick to the midbass. bad part is they run like $700 and up.

While I've definitely heard good subless setups, an Integra doesn't come to mind as a great vehicle to do it in.

I've heard an Integra that has a 12" in the spare tire well, firing up...has absolutely no problem blending //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif One of the best-sounding cars I've heard.

If that's your issue, I'd start playing around with phase, and placement...

i guess i can do that since i dont have a spare tire ever(i lost it)

ok then with time allignment

i only have it on the 4 channel x4r kenwood.

i dont have it on the radio

the closest speaker is the one that has to be delayed the most?

if the sub is furthest then it will remain at 0 delay

so i only have to delay the 4 speakers

if i just want to bring the bass to the front center what would i set the timings at?

so like i said in other post,i tried the stryke audio 7" speakers and they squeezed just in barely.

but they sound incredibly smooth compared to alpines and still put out some serious bass.

i am going to add another pair of woofers to the door like i planned because after putting these in im pretty confident that the door can handle them.
