who makes drivers for the major car audio brands?

do they actually design the speakers or just purchase the drivers and build crossovers for them?

I know Alpine gets their stuff from ScanSpeak. They claim that, but that was the old F#1 Status. The newer speakers look closer to Vifa than ScanSpeak.

Only the F#1 Status line is SS. The Type Xs were always Vifa-based.

Actually for design.

Thilo the owner of audiopulse/tc sounds did alot of designs and had alot of patents for some of the big name subs.

If you want just google who designed what sub or whatever.

Itcould tell you
