realy doubt it, scrap the cap, save the money and buy a set of componets. It will be worth it man trust me.

hey assholes....why dont you help the kid instead of putting down everything he says....you were probably like that when you were looking for your first system aswell am i right?
why not help the kid and EXPLAIN why the choices he wants to make arent so smart... he ovbiously has little clue of whats going on so help him out. I thought thats what forums like these were for.

I know when i first came on this site I was looking for fiberglassing help, and Ngism and Req helped me out more than I could imagine, and put up with my "newb" ideas and techniques. I guess this forum turned around a lot since I first needed help.

Actually I am 15 and i dont even have a drivers license but I am still very interested in subs but I will be putting subs in my truck when i can drive!!

No I only have under the rear bench of my ext silverado which the box im getting only has .71 cu of air!!

look into Mach5's lineup... espeically the MAW-10

their site recommends .5 cf in a sealed enclosure and they go for $45... the only thing is their shop is located in Canada so shipping would be a bit higher than what you would expect

but i say you get 2 MAW-10s and then have someone from this forum build you a properly sized box for the subs, i got my sealed box built by a member on this board and he did a great job with it and it was pretty cheap... lastly, go with a nice budget amp that puts either 500 x 1 @ 1ohm or 2ch amp that gives around 250-300 watts per channel

Then when your ready, and youve been around here long enough to learn some things...then go out and get a system. and that allows you to save up some money...to get even better shit

Save money and wait till youre actually on the road. 2 8's on one 10" is what you will need. Look into TC sounds DB500, TC sounds 1000, mach 5 audio MAW. fi ssd, Audioque sd or sd.2, or some Digital designs 1008

Then when your ready, and youve been around here long enough to learn some things...then go out and get a system. and that allows you to save up some money...to get even better shit

truDAT. save save save. Most of the boxes I have built for my cars have taken me months to figure out to get the most space out of the box or the trunk. I would measure everything out, and decide what type of box you could go with, either ported or sealed, what kind of subs you could possibly fit into the area you have to work with, and figure out from there. depending on how long you have until you get your lisence, you should have time to look around here, and decide how much room you really have for a system, and what kind of system you really want.

I wouldnt just look on ebay to see what you can get for a really cheap price. look around the forum to see whats for sale, and look up reviews on the products. a system is nothing you should be rushing into, it will be very disappointing when you finally get it in and is only sub-par, when for the same money you could get something that exceeds your expectations.

I consider sub/amp/HU/ and wiring to be a system,I dont have mid range, and my stock speakers keep up fine....some people can't afford speakers when theyre buying a sub and amp so yeah be nice c'mon If u like the sound man go for it!

just listen to some of the smarter guys on this thread giving you some tips.... i promise you if you go with a setup like this, it'll get boring REAL quick.... it might sound loud for the first month maybe two.. but i doubt you'll be satisfied later down the road

if you can spend $100 per sub, you can definatly have more options

I have been looking around hard for about a year now and the first subs that I wanted were some Pioneer 306C or sumtin....see ive got the money to buy 1000 dollar subs but i dont want to spend all of my money at once....thats why i am on a budget and i still have to buy my 22" rims man....

from the sounds of some of the things you said. you dont know all that much about car audio...no offense, buying a system now isnt gonna do any good if you cant drive, wait..learn a few things...save $$$....get a system 10x better than you origianlly posted
