My car

Looks like you need to be on pimp my ride.
No thanks.

To the morons who have no idea what condition the car was in when I got it, how much I've used it, how long I've had it, or even what the car looks like, come at me bros. I take care of my shit, but it's hard to do with no money, and no family that can help out. I change my oil every 3-5k miles, and I do what I can.

And actually, blowing the tire at 110 wasn't all that bad.

I got the car for $2k.

come at me bros. I take care of my shit,
Apparently not or you wouldn't be making this attention ***** of a post.

Holy bajeebus. I didn't realize there were more posts in this topic. I'm such an attention whore.

Anyway, I'll direct the first few sentences to IronRL205. It's not a family car. It wasn't designed to be a family car. It's not a dedicated race car, so it's a family car that I can't possibly be taking care of because I was going 100+? Come on, now. Regarding your other question, the brakes were fine at the time, and I obviously didn't realize how shitty the tires were if I was going 100+. Needless to say, I eventually found out that they were shitty.

To roarzors -- That's not even logical. "You don't take care of your car so you're an attention whore." Brakes are fixed now anyway. Ordered new rotors and pads today.

To smd4life -- No money and do what I can go hand in hand. Maybe I should have changed money to income, but meh.

I guess the thread's bumped again, so I'm expecting to get raped by trolls. I despise everything Adam Sandler, so I didn't even watch the video.

To those wanting pictures of this monstrosity, here's one before I got the driver rear tire changed. If you look at the URL of the image, you can find my other pictures. The pictures of the trunk are showing where I cardboarded and taped up a hole from where some kind vent was supposed to be, which is obviously gone(no idea why it was gone, where it went, or when it went). I had been getting tons of dust in the trunk for a while, and didn't know why. By the way, I forgot to mention that my car has cancer. A few of the pictures show a couple of spots where the paint is just coming off. It's been slowly deteriorating since I got it.

we've all been there bro... ALL of us have had our share of hoopties... just take the best care of it you can, till some work comes along.... whats your career field?
Well, it was originally going to be chemical engineering. I took the ACT twice, and got a 33, and planned big. Then, before I got to college, I decided I'd rather be a marine biologist(had kind of been my "dream" since I was young), so I decided to major in Biology. I only applied to one school -- University of Nebraska - Lincoln(that's the football one). Even though I got a 33 and had a 4.0(lulz... school wasn't something I even took seriously. I'm sure most/some of you know where I'm coming from), I didn't get any scholarships, and didn't qualify for financial aid, so I had to take out a crap ton of loans. After I got there, and after being there for a few weeks, I developed a distaste of college, and academia in general. I don't really want to explain further, and it gets kind of convoluted and moral.

So, right now, I'm just getting by for a while. I have a half-baked plan to eventually start a computer store with a friend, and I only need to take a few tests to be able to actually follow through with it. I'm trying to find a job that's not fast food or Walmart, but still close enough that I don't have to rely on my crap car to take me 100+ miles every day. I'm thinking some kind of repetitive manual labor.

yea, i hold your same distain for the "must" of higher education that america as a whole feels right now....

when i was in high school ( YEARS AGO ) i started varsity basketball as a sophmore... went all state 3 years in a row, and had scouts looking at me for schools at the end of my junior year (given, they were from division 2 and 3 schools, but still)... then senior year... i quit the team (way too long of a story to go into) ... and all i heard was how i threw away my future, i wouldnt succeed in shit without ball, etc, etc... 10+ years later of busting my ***, and taking chances on myself that most would consider foolish... i now make a VERY comftorable living, where i'm able to afford to provide my wife and i with the life we want (and also making more than the VAST majority of classmates, who went into massive debt, just to find out their degree doesnt do dick for them in the real world).

moral of the story.... put yourself out there, and work hard enough, and you'll get what you want... just dont give up on it
