My brother just had his whole system stolen.

Avic D2, RF t20001BD and 2 15" subs (don't remember what kind).

He went outside about an hour ago to find his back window completely smashed, he drives a 2005 tahoe, so when it's smashed you can reach everything. This whole situation is ****ed. His apartment complex supposedly has cameras on the lots, so we have to check into that. The headunit was ripped out and the wires were just cut, as well as all other wires to amp and subs. It had to of been more than one person, the box and everything weighed a ****ing ton. He is filing a report with the police but we'll see how far that goes. He's pretty pissed.

Sucks, anyone else get something robbed? What did you do?

He was probably playing his music loud in a VERY public place.. supermarket, movie theater, mall, etc etc..

The theif MAY have follwed him home, waited till he went inside and jacked the shit out of him. It could have been someone at a stop light for all we know.

Theifs are smart.

Does he have any audio stickers on his car? Those are infamous for break ins, they basically advertise what is inside the store to steal (your brothers tahoe)

No, he doesn't have any stickers. It's completely stock except for the audio stuff. There are some shady kids who live in the same general area, he suspects them. He doesn't even blast music in his complex, because "he doesn't want to be a chode". He's talking about just going after the kids directly, I don't know about all that nonsense though.

My last system got stolen in the middle of the night right in my driveway. I f*ed up and forgot to lock my doors. They didn't even have to break in... just opened the back hatch and wah-la... amps, subs, head unit... all ready for the taking.

Locked doors FTW.

BTW, It wasn't cause I bumped through town are was an idiot in any other way (other than not locking my doors). Our whole block was hit... but they only stole shit in cars w/ unlocked doors... they never "broke" in to anything.

I dont know if these "kids" can be the best theifs. How old would you say they were?

Bumping in his comples would NOT be the problem, it is who would follow him home after he bumped in a public place.

I do not play my system hard if i am within a ten mile radius of my house, lol. just my rule. I turn it OFF when i go to the mall or movie theaters.

If anyone smashed my window, they would just get annoyed with my alarm. they would cut the battery wire to the alarm, and would still have 4 sirens going off. It's no picnic getting undereath my hood either.. lol.

Does he have an alarm? And no, stock doesnt count.

I'm lucky, I leave my car unlocked and the keys in it on some occasions. People mind there own business here most of the time. Small town with less than 200 (I'd say less than 100 people in the actual town, and the rest in just the surrounding area) people it's not hard to figure who did what. Everyone knows I have the stereo in the town though.
