My Audiopipe amp is not bad at all for the price

They dont have to do anything but what they can and what they can't do is be a good amp.
Now that's just ridiculous.

They could be a good amp, if you dropped in a new board and new components //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Much louder? At that level, it takes a **** ton more power to make something much louder, and you are saying the 3.5k was making a **** ton more power than the 4 1500's? They have to put out at least 1,000 watts apiece.....

Even if they only put out 800 watts apiece it should have been as loud as the 3.5k, but the 3.5k was "much" louder?

Also, did you have the apsm or the ap series?
Have you geard both of them? If not please don't make statements like that because I have, and I know.
You need to take your own advise bro......

You got me.

So you're saying that most people on this site looking for a decent system should spend twice the money on a sundown amp when they would have been JUST as happy with the cheaper audiopipe amp?

What it boils down to, gentelen, is that when audiopipe amps are brought up, the response usually goes like this

They are piece of shitamps, they will probably blow up, don't do rated power, and will destroy your car, the speaker and whatever comes within a five mile radius of them.

When it should read

They are good amps for the money. They put out rated power and will get roughly as loud as a higher priced amp, but the signal will not be as clean, so there may be a small amount of audible distortion vs. the high end brands.

Not an audiophile amplifier, but provides the same power for 1/2 the price as the competition.

Power is only part of it. THD, efficiency, power consumption. If you need 200 amperes to get 1000w from an AP amp, but 130 amperes from a competition grade amplifier, I don't think it's worth it.

of course, nobody has said those, so it's hard to say, now isn't it?

It's easy for people to just throw out the power factor...

There may be a small AUDIBLE difference. But does it justify a price tag 2x more for the average person just trying to get some loud bass in his car?
The average car audio kid is dumb and has no idea what distortion, THD, efficiency, clipping, or anything like that is.

They think "d00d! This audiopipe amp is just as loud as x brand but it's wayy cheaper!" you never notice them comparing anything important, other than watts and price. there are more factors to take into consideration other than watts and price.

But they don't
Mine does, so did the majority of the ones that have been clamped. I am talking about the Ap series, not the APSM

I don't believe the efficiency is that bad. If it was my diamond amp would have destroyed this audiopipe one, and it didn't

So people are dumb because they don't know what a s/n ratio is? They deserve to be ridiculed?

What 95% of people buying a sub amp are looking for is output vs. price. It's that simple. In my experiences, and many, many more peoples' experiences, the AP amps are as loud as the other guys, and we are perfectly happy with the wat they sound. Maybe if we were listening to highly detailed orchestra musiccranked up loud, we might be annoyed by the slight hissing due to the low s/n ratio, but like I said I just don't think anyone is going to notice that or care when they are playing rap, dubstep, house music full tilt, they just want loud, for as cheap as possible.

What im saying is I would run a hifonics brutus amp first and yes they are junk sorry you dont know what quality is you will learn or you may continue to think its the best and same quality as others you listed.

Sorry but you are sadly mistaken.
