My Audiopipe amp is not bad at all for the price

Have you owned a nice amp though to compare the AP to?
I ran a hifonics 1500 once...
Best amps I've ran were a Memphis PR1KD and a Diamond audio D61500.1, but also 2 other memphis 1,000's, an old school punch 500, other random smallish amps. Like I said previously this amp at 4 ohms on my xxx15 gets louder than the Diamond D61500 on an 18" incriminator. And honestly the bass doesn't sound any diferent (worse) than the other amps..?

Nobody can see my DD, which cost quite a bit more than your AP... but I'm sorry... even if I turned it down to 2,000 watts, it's simply a better amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
And I obviously don't have a problem with "cheap" stuff... look at my front stage amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif It's very affordable, and also a better amp than anything Audiopipe makes. Sorry man.

Hey I don't doubt for one second the DD amp is better, but to pay 3 times the price for a sound difference that is barely audible, if at all, I can't understand unless, like I said, to win popularity contests, which I can understand and relate to, just not with something that stays hidden in your trunk....

You gotta remember, 99% of reviews on those sites are uneducated people in car audio who really don't have anything "quality" to compare it to.

I ran an apsm amp and it served me well. Gave me more out of it than what I put in, so I definitely got my moneys worth. Still works to this day (got it almost a year ago)

But you really can't compare it to quality amps, their pricing is based on more factors than just power output. Don't forget those quality amps do more than rated power.

If you read the quote I was referring to the accusation that 1/2 of all audiopipe amps are defective

All tested by same guy. I believe his electrical was pretty weak, but here you can see that he got 2700 watts out of the AP3K and 3560 out of two strapped AQ2200's. Essentially the AP'p put out rated or more, just a more dirty signal, which like I said, 95% of people won't care about in their sub stage as long as it is loud

2 big bang planet audio strapped 1 ohm-3759watts not sure ohm reactive ohm load

audiopipe 3k wired at 1 ohm- 2700 @ 1.9 ohms

2 aq2200 strapped 1 ohm- 3560watts not sure reactive load.

kicker 650.1- 554watts @ 4 ohms had more to go but for basic 1

solid audio 2000 2 channel bridged at 1- 1840 @ 2.2 ohms

audiopipe 1500 wired at 1- 1120 watts @ 2.1 ohms

crunch pzi 3000.1 wire at 1 ohm. 1159 watts @ 2.3 ohm

power bass 4k wired at .66 ohm-3153 watts @ 2.1 ohms.

lol yes. Have you not seen the 100 clamps on those? Ranging anywhere from 300 watts under load to 900 clean with 60% eff.

Yeah but I've read more suggesting that they do rated. Judging by my D6 1500.w which is a high end amp, my ap3000 puts out as much or more power at 4 ohms as the diamond did (diamond rated at 1500, AP rated at 1800)

Meh, I paid $40 more than the price of an AP3K and got an amp I know will do >2K clean.

Wow, what amp?

Seeing O-scope and clamp>reading from a bunch of noobs. You should meter the Diamond and the AP. I bet you are misjudging distortion and bad dampening for output
