My 15in sub does not hit as hard as it should. i have a 15in sub 1200rms 2400max and a 1200 watt sub. the sub it wired at one olm same with the amp, the amp is a sony with a sony deck, and the sub is a power acoustic mofos 15in. IDK why its not hitting hard, I have a 10 rockerdfosgate that hits harder than this 15 with the same amp.

probably because you need a proper box along with proper power, that pretty much none of the sony amps would put out anything over 1k rms. Plus that sub is not efficient so the sound it produce would be less. Your choices would be to upgrade your amp or get a better sub with lower RMS ratings. Dont get into the mindset of the higher RMS the sub the better it would be when dealing with budget subs.

For one that Sony stuff is grossly overrated and Power Acoustic is even worse than Sony stuff. You might also want to get a 0 gauge wiring run going that might give some more power handling maybe. A 15" setup I would go with is get a kicker zx 1500.1 with a 15inch kicker L7 in a ported box now that 15inch setup will blow ya doors off!!!

Invention in a decent amp and decent subs. You sound like you are want to get loud. Aq/sq is doing an amazing sale right now or something like dc,sundown,fi,ssa are a little more expensive so I think if you on a budget aq/sq or c2 is what you want to look at great deal for that threatcon 2 but I can't vouch for it never ran c2.

Loudest Kicker setup I've seen was 3 10" L7s do a 151.x on 1000w (total) in the hatch.
