My 07 build, enjoy :D

Sure, why the hell not. lol
that would be sweet //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif:laugh: thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

I skipped a few of cutting down the tubes, when I did that to get the same exact cub ft for each tube 1 was shorter than the other. It was that way because of the quick forms werent the same diameter as the other I guess the diameter on those vary from up to 1" but anywho heres some more.

looky what i got today //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Im gonna start making them on saturday, found a good air space and port length with my tubes so im just gonna carry the info onto these //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I just noticed when testing the tubes out the K-factor was set at 180 must of been like that when I installed it on my new laptop the K-factor is supposed to be set at 177.8 for my sensor so I changed that im gonna test it to see what the difference is. I noticed it because I upgraded the new TL software thats available.

Its gonna be a busy to get this thing somewhat done before the 20th //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

this is what I got today again wired to 1.5ohms to 1 amp @ 12.7 volts car off, Im gonna get a shorter alt belt saturday so it should bring me back up to 14.2volts @ idle //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif than I can start burping with the car on to see what kind of difference that makes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/woot.gif.aaa6090e619a97b6090d16dd863c5a69.gif

well woke up early, no kids, so I had a chance to work on the tubes. This is a whole lot easier todo than the fiberglass ones i did earlier only took me 1 hour to assemble 1 tube //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/woot.gif.aaa6090e619a97b6090d16dd863c5a69.gif should of done this in the first place would of saved many hours //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif oh well

this time i renforced the top and bottom a tad better by pre-drilling and counterborin the screw hole

holes cut out on both sides all caulked up and ready for some paint this weekend, I ran out of MDF so im gonna have to get another 2X4' section saturday morning and assemble the other tube, so hopefully sunday I can get away for 30 min and throw them in and get a db# wired at .75ohm to each amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Got the tubes painted and carpeted, just set the pvc glue on the ends of the ports so they are secured, im gonna duct tape the other connections for the ports so i can take them off to do more testing than probably cover the duct tape up with black electrical tape. All I have to do now is mount the woofers, wire them up to .75ohm each and throw them in the car either friday or saturday and throw a # up on the TL to see where Im at, Im not gonna have the time to test these tubes since their at 1.2 cub ft after all displacements I just dont have enough time. I still have to load up the rex with gas and drive it around for a few hours just to make sure itll last for the trip up to watertown. Im sure it will because I have driven it to work and thats about 45min away with no problems but I dont want to get to watertown and have it break down. So we'll see.

got lots done today, got everything mounted and secured, wires are all cleaned up. Threw it on the meter with just one sub wired to .75ohms and noticed my frequency has changed from the other tubes. Its peaking at 56hz now. Im just gonna keep it at that for the show in adams for now than do more testing later

heres some pics

heres a reading with 1 sub wired to .75ohms and burped at 12.4 volts @ 56hz. Im charging the battery right now to get it back up to 12.9volts.

I have to cut the ports down a tad to get back up to 59-61hz but thats for later. Ive also learned the rex has an electronic load detector built in the computer and it controls the regulator on the alternator, when the car is at idle it basically shuts down the regulator to the alternator to save gas, so at idle the car is reading 12.7volts even at 2k rpm. So I talked to Dom and Im gonna take my alternator out and send it back to him and hes gonna take the internal regulator out and send me an external regulator (which I shoulda done in the first place), than I can boost the voltage up to 15volts for burps. My amps are probably putting half of what there supposed to put out because of the low voltage coming from the batterys and alternator. With these amps going from 12.5volts to 15volts is a big jump in power //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Tomorrow im gonna gain match both amps and fine tune it at low volume. Im expecting todo a 50 more or less for the show in Adams. I also talked to someone on drag and they said they use 14.4 volt chargers than they burp it, my charger only charges to 13volts on trickle charge //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Thats why im in need of the external regulator.

got the other sub connected and threw up a # because its a tad warmer the burp tone is at 55hz now should be around 59-61hz but ill take care of that later. This was at 12.4 volts again, subs were warm from throwing sweeps at it for awhile, and i still have to gain match the amps later today and fine tune it. But this # should be good enough for the show in adams.

12.3 volts

so if its 60 tomorrow its a 55hz tone if its colder itll be 56hz tone

just threw it on the TL to see what they would do wired to .375ohm one one amp compared to .75ohm to each amp, heres the results

both subs wired down to .75ohm to each amp

both subs wired down to .375ohm to 1 amp

so with what i have now and with hardly any testing i should be up to 152-153dbs. I need to find some subs with dual .7ohms

Good numbers. Some tuning tips that worked my Rex. Flaps in the back let down. Drivers seat back, pass up both visors down, seat leaning forward.
thanks for the tips, I lost with the visors down when I did my testing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif oh well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

more pics on the way //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
