Im thinkin about goin ahead and buying a turbo for my 95 gt (302) and just running 6 lbs on the stock motor. Which would be a good turbo setup? Im building a 331 stroker that i want to switch the turbo to when its done so keep that in mind. Need some suggestions on a good turbo i can switch from engine to engine.

Thanks,

Mike

P.s - will be running 10lbs on the 331

it will be best to buy it in a kit form. take a look at team hellion's website. depending on what you are trying to accomplish a gt 45 would make a good street turbo for that size engine.

I'd just get the S/C off the Lightning / one similair. I believe it's called the M112.

Would be cheaper and a lot more b/a looking.

You need a 3.5" Cowl IIRC.

Also, a TurboCharger would do nicely, as well.

Check out Vortech or Prostreet. I think it's Prostreet.

Real men make their own turbo kits //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Just weld up a log style on each side based off of the factory manifold, each log pushing a T3 from a early 90's T-Bird or Cougar Turbo. Pressure pipes going seperately to small corner intercoolers aka 300zx. Coming in together at throttle body with long radius, smooth flow "Y".

If you really want immense low end power, with no lag whatsoever, keep each small, or make a single turbo setup with a 1466 International turbocharger. It IS huge, but has zero lag on a 300ci engine. And huge power potential in the future.

Yeah, ebay FTMFL seriously.

You can blow a 302 injected for less than 300 bones ya douche. You just can't do it looking at your screen trying to find a ready to go kit. You gotta get outside and go DO WORK.

First, you need a turbo. Go to junkyard, find turbo car, give 25 bux. DONE. Try to use a T3 from a automatic ***** T-Bird if you can, or an older 280zx/300zx single turbo car with an auto as well. Auto turbos are generally more responsive as they have bigger AR in the smaller housing.

Second, you need a manifold. Use your stock mani, weld a pipe to it like an expansion chamber, and the turbo flange to it, so you can bolt your spinny thang onto it. If you cant weld cast iron like me, get a small torch and a coat hanger and braze it. Coat hanger = world's best brazing rod because of the flexibility in it's alloy.

Get this done and we will guide you farther.

What do you suggest next? The piece that screws in your tailpipe that whistles like a turbo spooling?? wow.

In all honesty, I would S/C it. I am a huge turbo fan but in this scenario supercharging seems it would be more practical.

Pretty sure he knows what he's talking about. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
Just because you don't buy a $3500 bolt up kit doesn't mean a pieced together sysem is not good.
Correction, i know what i am doing. I have big motors all over my garage that we maintain / build.

That is a hack job buddy.
