muffler delete on my GTO

a stock GTO axelback was taken and cut out the mufflers, welded in these Black series Corsas...thats probably why you cant find any

I shudder to think how loud that GTO will be without mufflers. I blew the y pipe on my Crown Vic college hooptee, and it was loud as fark. Sounded like a dang big rig downshifting.
I also developed a hole in my 97 Civic's tailpipe about the size of a quarter. It was loud, but not as loud as those fools who add fart cannons to their Civics.....

IIRC, Pypes makes a muffler delete kit for most modern day muscle cars.

On a crown vic, explains the story it defently wont sound like that.

Save your money. It sounds like trash.

im doing the muffler delete for $60 tomorrow...seeing if a like the car louder if i do im going to either pick up the axle back or save for a catback if not ill put the stock back on...either way im working on finding a good place for a dyno tune.

Probably going to be too loud with the GTO IMO. Never heard it, but has some major ponies under the hood and could only imagine.

I say leave it alone and when you get money do a full exhaust system.

Im a lil behind because im not a lover of gloriafied cavaliers, taken the muffler off will make it louder, not to loud tho, and you will gain a lil more bottom end tq, and upper end hp, you still have all your cats which will still supply enough back pressure, these newer cars just like older carbed cars, need some back pressure, I would go with a nice catback system instead of just deleteing the muffler, you got a nice car, why do it the cheap way, it wont have a tone, it will just be loud, get a nice SLP, Borla, Corsa, flow or magna, cat back system for around $370-500!
