muffler delete on my GTO

lack of backpressure lowers your torque.

That's right, all you people with a can on your civic just for noise are losing your low end.

They "can" add afew ponies. But at the expense of torque. and with a GTO i think torque is a must have...

Take em off see what you think then put em on if you dont like it.

and as for saving to buy a catback i cant right now...student in college with no income...dropping $50 on this mod is ok whereas i wont have the funds at any time to buy a catback

Correct me chance I'll be wrong on this but. If its a V8 anything that helps with exhaust flow is good. Looseing back pressure with v8's is not a big deal.Honestly I dont think thats a bad things with V8's....Ppl with 4 cylinders taking out exhaust parts making it too free flowing is a bad thing. 4 bangers need the back pressure.

I have a v6 dakota took the cat out. Im not worried about torque and speed numbers. But I love the sound and helped with gas mileage.

When you only have 65ftlbs of torque, you don't really notice the 5 that you lost with a can.

Your from the DE NJ PA area. You should know there is no such thing as winter anymore lol. We havent seen more than a .5 inch of snow.

freshman year (3 years ago) i think it snowed like 2 feet...but since they nothing...

well i guess ill do it tomorrow...see how it feels, and how it sounds...go back to school and in 2 weeks decide weather or not i want em bolted back on

I currently have no muffler on my LS1 camaro (got it like that). Every now and then the popping can be annoying, but 75% of the time it's not an issue and doesn't even happen. It isn't overly loud, but the drone around 2k in the car is kind of annoying. As far as sound goes, I like it and have gotten nothing but positive comments. A muffler is on my shopping list though, cheaper than sound deadening the whole car at this point. I'd rather have louder sounds inside than the loud *** exhaust.

i have been running my vette with straight pipes since the day i bought it. Get rid of your cats and get rid of your mufflers. If you think its to loud. You shouldnt have a gto is the way i see it....
