MTX TA7801 speaker terminals "parallel" and ohmage load

Hello, I have the specified amplifier (MTX TA7801) and the user manual states that the two ++ -- speaker terminals are wired in parallel within the amplifier. Basically, this means you dont have to bridge the two terminals, and have ease of wiring two subwoofers.

Now, I have two 4 ohm dual voicecoil subwoofers, but since it is wired in parallel within the amplifier and the subwoofer, it would be the same as if I had one subwoofer right? Meaning, I am not getting a 1 ohm load, but a 2 ohm load?

The two 4 ohm dual voicecoil subwoofers are wired in parallel, meaning that the + and the - on the other side are connected to the amp, and the other + - are connected to each other. Both subs are wired like this, and I bridged them on the amplifier (even though it apparenlty makes no difference). My only curiosity is, if I get new subs (which i play on getting 2 re se's), should I get dual 2 ohm, or dual 4 ohm to get my desired 1 ohm load???

well that was what I was wondering... if I had a single 4 ohm dual voice coil it would pull 2 then? I just dont see how it pulls the 1 ohm load as opposed to the 2 ohm load since it's not bridgable
