MTX ReQ or Crossover

I want to install my amp and sub in my new truck, the amp is old school PPI Art Series that doesn't have a built in Xover. I want to keep the factory head unit and I'm confused about what I should get. The MTX ReQ or a 2 way Xover such as the Kicker KX2 hooked up with the Hi-Level inputs from the factory system. I'm not looking to rattle the windows but to just fill in the bottom end a little. Any help you guys can give me would be appreciated.

depends on what year the truck is. the newer ones have a bass reduction built in and your gonna need soemthing to flatten that out. the mtx req does that. seeing how the ppi don't have built in xover i'd look into something like the Audio Control DQL8

Thanks for the help Horsemanwill...I'm just going to use the amp for the sub and I believe the ReQ has a 40-200HZ subwoofer xover.

your right i just checked i forgot about the RE Q 5 it does have a built in xover
