rarely does it make a difference.... only seen it matter at all in extreme power apps or long wire runs.

Eyy man.....you don't like rear firing? It will reflect/bounce better, which i know u know.

Just curious, is the upfiring louder to u?

I'm thinking about getting 3-4 15"s, and to get em to fit some might b back, some slightly up, never tried up.

How would you compare it to back?

i like firing up, ported rear... makes the best sound to me.. but i've always had open area to work with.. never worked with a trunk application where i've heard rear facing works best.

cant really tell wich would be louder without a mic. I have heard that facing sub n port back are the loudest. also some poeple say it is best for the mic in kick panel, but it varies in car apps. n since i dont have a mic I cant agree or disagree

but I like the sound of the CRX style box alittle better, but this is all my opinion

I have done various installs with different boxes (not these subs tho) but I kinda like the CRX style cause i can throw stuff in the back without worrying about the shit hitting my subs, and when i turn aroun I get a nice view of them moving

I also think it looks cleaner.

Just got back from the dB Drag Finals.. and i must say 80% of the street class boxes were CRX style

sub up port back/side can work in a trunk... of course.

yes very true.. but there was a few explorers in the street classes aswell

and i seen u parked over at meca.

153.8 actually - that score was from IN state finals //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. Was good enough to take m1... which is all I competed in. Would have definitely smoked mr1, and db1, duno.. still havent tested this box with it lol.

Oo ok. I guess i'll try it for my 12" XXXer, gonna b a custom fiberglass/MDF between rear 2nd row captains!
